We guide you through the legal process, from preparing and filing divorce or dissolution petitions to resolving financial matters. Where possible, we aim to reach fair agreements through negotiation to avoid unnecessary court action.

If court proceedings are required, including ancillary relief for financial settlement, we provide strong representation to ensure your interests are safeguarded. Our goal is to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Get In Touch
Do you offer legal aid representation?

Yes. Everyone is entitled to legal aid for a police station or PACE interview. For criminal charges, eligibility depends on your income and the nature of the offence. Legal aid is generally available for a wide range of cases, including family, children’s and domestic proceedings, divorce, and ancillary relief matters. However, legal aid is not available for most driving offences.

How long will my conveyance take, and when will I have a completion date?

On average, a conveyance takes between 8 to 10 weeks. This can vary depending on issues that may arise, such as survey results, boundary queries, or title matters. We always aim to meet your preferred completion date, but please note this date only becomes legally binding once contracts have been signed by both parties.

Do I have grounds for divorce?

In Northern Ireland, there is only one legal ground for divorce — the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. This must be proven by one of five facts: adultery, unreasonable behaviour, desertion for two years, two years’ separation with consent, or five years’ separation without consent.

What happens if I die without making a Will?

If you die without a Will, your estate will be distributed under the laws of intestacy. These rules determine who inherits your assets and may not reflect your personal wishes. Making a Will ensures your estate is passed on according to your preferences and can help avoid delays, disputes, and additional stress for your loved ones.

How do I arrange a consultation with one of your solicitors?

You can contact our office directly by phone or email to arrange a consultation. We offer appointments in person, by phone, or video call, depending on your preference and the nature of your legal matter.
